Person County Education Foundation Scholarship Information
The Person County Education Foundation is dedicated to serving students in grades K-12 in traditional and charter public schools of Person County, North Carolina. PCEF administers scholarships and awards annually for graduates of Person County. Each scholarship has a specific purpose and tailored eligibility criteria. The scholarships are managed by PCEF’s Scholarship Committee, with the involvement of high school counselors, teachers, and scholarship donors. Individuals and groups may set up a scholarship for many reasons including honoring the life of a person, honoring their graduating class, or helping a deserving student to succeed.
The Merle S. and Jean H. Solomon Scholarship Award Amount - $1,500.00 Renewable - Yes, for 1 year Available to - Graduates of PHS, RCS who will attend technical program of study at a community college, a recognized trade school, or a two-or four-year institution of higher learning.
To be considered for PCEF scholarships, students must:
Be a graduating high school senior who resides in Person County
Attend one of the following High Schools in Person County: Person High School, Roxboro Community School.
Plan to pursue postsecondary education for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Submit your completed application and essay by 11:59pm on March 22, 2019 by submitting the form below.
To be considered for a scholarship, all information must be received by PCEF by 11:59 pm on March 22, 2019. Students applying for multiple scholarships administered by PCEF only need to complete one application. All applications are strictly confidential.

Submit your current résumé to PCEF. This résumé should include high school honors, awards, accomplishments, extracurricular activities, offices held, and community involvement. Include employment history with employer(s) names, immediate supervisor(s), dates of employment, number of hours worked, and job duties.
Submit your most recent academic transcript to PCEF. You must fill out a request form in your school’s guidance office. Indicate on the form that your transcript is to be mailed to PCEF, P. O. Box 845, Roxboro, NC 27573 or emailed to email@example.com.
Submit two (2) letters of recommendation to PCEF. Ask 2 individuals if they will write letters of recommendation for you. One letter must be from one of your previous or current teachers.
Submit your essay to PCEF. You have the option of submitting either a written or video essay. Video essays should be no longer than 3-4 minutes in length. All video essays must be emailed to PCEF at firstname.lastname@example.org.
