SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER MINI GRANTS
In an effort to promote opportunities for children with disabilities during the 2019-2020 school year, PCEF is collaborating with Arc of Person County to offer Special Education Teacher "mini-grants". Each mini-grant can be awarded for up to $500.00 per teacher recipient. Please complete the following grant application realizing that mini-grants will only be provided to school teachers, therapists, and employees who serve special education students.
Any public school teacher, therapist, or employee serving special needs children (specifically students with moderate to severe disabilities) in the Person County public school and charter systems are eligible to apply.
The PCEF Teacher Mini-Grant Committee will conduct a blind review of all applications and select winners.
Questions? Email or call [email protected].
All Person County Schools, Roxboro Community School, and Bethel Hill Charter School personnel are eligible to apply, but the applications must specify how the proposed project will directly affect student learning.
Keep in mind that the this Grant requires that projects directly impact students with disabilities. To the extent that the applicant can show how student learning will be impacted, the following areas will be considered for funding:
• Classroom activities or projects
• School wide activities or projects
• Projects involving two or more schools
• Partial support project (funding from more than one source)
• Materials, supplies, software, and equipment to support the project
• Transportation for students (field trips)
• Experiences for students (in school presentations, field trips, etc)
Grants are not awarded for basic, everyday supplies.
All recipients are required to submit an end-of-year project report. This project must be completed and pictures submitted to Amanda F. Morrow, Person County Education Foundation, ON OR BEFORE June 1, 2020.
