WILSON 'RISE UP' SCHOLARSHIP

Becky Gentry Wilson was the 1970 Valedictorian graduate of Person Senior High School. She attended East Carolina University (ECU), graduating Magna Cum Laude with her degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, Mrs. Wilson returned to Person County where, for 30 years, she would Rise Up each school day to educate students at Bethel Hill and Woodland elementary schools. After retirement, Becky Rose Up each and every day with unrelenting care, love, dedication and devotion to care for her husband of 46 years, Donald “Toofy” Wilson, who lost his battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) on February 27, 2021.
